The Ponderosa Property Owners Association coordinates the volunteer fire brigade, and thank goodness they do. This group of folks, largely property and business owners in Ponderosa, train regularly to help protect our community from fire.  They learn about basic fire prevention and suppression, and recently helped with the, too close for comfort, Needlerock Fire earlier this summer.
