Timber litter and understory, 2-ft tall brush, and 1-ft tall grass. Pine needles and timber litter

Planned Actions 

Continue defensive firing in front of fire establishing in unfavorable areas to ensure firefighter safety.

Remarks 

Forest Closure Order has closed trails in the Golden Trout Wilderness northeast of Grey Meadow, northwest of Trout Meadow, east of Nelson Cabin, and south of the Park boundary.

Current Weather

Weather Concerns 

High pressure will slowly build over the region for the next few days. There will be a slow warming and drying trend with light, terrain driven winds. A surface inversion will develop each night, lifting by noon each day. Max temperature 67-72, minimum humidity 15-20%. Winds north 1-3 mph until 1000 PDT, then becoming south 2-4 mph. Ridge winds north 2-4 mph in the early morning shifting to south-southwest 2-4 mph by 1300 PDT.
